The Philebus's peras imposed on the apeiron "more-and-less" to yield determinate qualitative being (health, harmony, music) anticipates Hegel's Maß (quantity become quality), and the apeiron parallels Hegel's bad infinity. But the engine is reversed: Plato's limit comes from above (the aitia / cosmic reason), a static pairing with no Aufhebung and no nodal leap, whereas Hegel's measure emerges immanently and the nodal line makes the qualitative change a leap within the continuum.
