Claim

Plato's anamnesis (learning as recovery of latent knowledge) and the Husserl→MP Stiftung/sedimentation complex are cross-tradition cousins: both answer the Meno problem (how can one learn what one does not already know?) by denying that learning is the reception of wholly new content — both make acquisition presuppose prior possession.
