Weave Pass 1 Gap-Landscape Survey: 2026-05-08

First weave run. v0d.4 schema just shipped (CLAUDE.md, schema-changelog.md). This is a dry-run output — no writes to wiki content occurred, only this report.

Findings

Orphan HUB motifs (Pass 2 candidates — capped at 3 per run)

Two HUB-weight motifs without dedicated concept pages:

  1. capital-as-phenomenology — HUB at 3+ source attestations (Inédits II 1947–49, H&T 1947, Adventures 1955, PoP 1961). motifs.md says: "Not yet given a dedicated concept page on the wiki; tracked here pending a future page on capital-as-phenomenology or similar. The thesis is operative on merleau-ponty-1955-adventures-of-the-dialectic page §Lukács chapter and on the Marx entity page." User decision required: spin up dedicated concept page, or consolidate under existing Marxist-philosophy structures.

  2. survol-vue-de-sirius — HUB at 6+ source attestations across ontology-of-the-object, theologie-explicative, transtemporality, tacit-cogito, realist-thought, portance. motifs.md line 191: "NO single wiki home tracks the cluster as a corpus-level cross-source motif — flagged for user decision on dedicated pensee-de-survol page vs. cross-page tracking." User decision required: consolidate to dedicated page, or maintain cross-page tracking with explicit cross-links from each distributed page.

Pass 2 cap is 3 stubs per run; the corpus has 2 orphan HUBs, so all 2 fit within the cap. Pass 2 is deferred pending user decision on these specific pages — both motifs have explicit "user decision pending" annotations in motifs.md, so weave should not auto-stub them; this is conversational territory, not mechanical.

HUB motifs with attestation ≥3 and no claim entry (motif-to-claim gap)

Note: this list is the corrected reading. The Pass 1 agent's prose initially said "no HUB-weight motifs lack claim entries"; the table itself shows otherwise. Adjudication caught the contradiction.

Two HUB motifs are listed in motifs.md with multiple wiki homes but are NOT cited as wiki homes in any live or supported claim:

These are candidates for v2 Pass 8 (motif-to-claim gap closure), which will be implemented by extending scripts/harvest-claim-candidates.py with a --source motifs flag. v1 does not implement this pass; it is logged here for v2 planning.

HUB concept pages without ## Motif Weight & Corpus Recurrence section (Pass 4 backlog)

Count: 0 pages currently have the section. Expected — the section is new in v0d.4 (just shipped). 8 spot-checked HUB pages all confirmed missing.

Pass 4 backlog: ~23 HUB-weight concept pages would receive the back-reference section once Pass 4 runs. Pass 4 is capped at 10 pages per run, with halt-for-review on first run. So the full backlog clears in 3 weave runs at minimum; staged rollout with maintainer review on the wording before bulk application.

Pass 1 outcome

  • Pass 1 emits this report (read-only operation): COMPLETE.
  • Pass 2 (orphan-HUB stubs) deferred: both orphans have user-decision annotations in motifs.md requiring conversational adjudication, not auto-stub.
  • Pass 3 (structural-isomorphism scan) tested via 9-pair calibration set: see wiki/.audit/weave-calibration-2026-05-08.md. Calibration outcome: PASS (with caveats — see adjudication section in that file).
  • Pass 4 (back-reference sections) deferred: pending maintainer review of section wording on a single example page ([[institution]]) before bulk application.
  • Pass 5 (log + summary): pending — this run is dry-run only; no wiki/log.md entry written until apply-mode run.

Recommendation

Treat this Pass 1 as the gap-landscape baseline. For the first apply-mode weave run, recommend:

  1. User decides on capital-as-phenomenology and pensee-de-survol (orphan-HUB consolidation strategy).
  2. User reviews the calibration-pass-3 candidates (3 Isomorphic verdicts) and decides which, if any, to promote as candidate claims.
  3. User reviews the proposed ## Motif Weight & Corpus Recurrence section template wording on [[institution]] as a single test case before approving Pass 4 bulk application.
  4. Once 1–3 are decided, apply-mode weave run can proceed with a single commit weave: 2026-05-08.

Two motif-to-claim gap candidates (fire-ignition-spark, vollendung-der-metaphysik) are logged for v2 Pass 8.
