Claim

On Klossowski's reading, Nietzsche's Eternal Return is not a cosmological doctrine but a lived semiotic experience whose content is the suppression of the principle of identity — and it is structured by forgetting: anamnesis coincides with forgetting, so the revelation is true only on condition of being forgotten. This makes Klossowski's Return the structural inverse of recollective closure (a Hegelian Erinnerung that gathers the past into self-present totality): where recollection retains, the Return dissolves the self/agent into the series of all its possible identities ("at bottom every name in history is I"). The claim is also corrective with respect to the wiki's prior eternal-recurrence page, which framed the Return through Chouraqui (cosmological "fact" refuting teleology) and Heidegger (Sein als Zeit) — both of which Klossowski reads as the communicable residue Nietzsche pursued out of fear of his own phantasm, not the lived fact.

Counterpressure / Limits

Single-source and contestably faithful. This is Klossowski's reading; a cosmological reader (Löwith) or a metaphysical reader (Heidegger) would deny that the lived/forgetting register is Nietzsche's primary meaning rather than Klossowski's projection. The forgetting-as-condition-of-truth thesis is Klossowski's interpretive bet, not an uncontested datum.
The "structural inverse of recollection" half is cross-tradition and currently un-anchored on the Hegel side. Whether Hegelian Erinnerung is in fact recollective-retentive closure (rather than itself looping through self-othering) is the open question of the eternal-recurrence Scan F/G bridge card; this claim contributes the Nietzsche-side sharpening only. The Hegel-side sources (Brandom/Pippin/Pinkard) are not in raw/.
Relation to Deleuze's selective reading is asserted, not demonstrated. Both are non-cosmological and "selective," but the precise relation (Deleuze's "only difference returns" vs. Klossowski's forgetting-dissolution) needs Nietzsche and Philosophy in the corpus.

Payoff

If accepted, the wiki's Nietzsche gains a third, categorically distinct reading of the Eternal Return alongside the cosmological (Chouraqui) and metaphysical (Heidegger) ones — and the long-standing eternal-recurrence ↔ absolute-knowing calibration tension gains its first Nietzsche-side resolution-vector: Nietzsche's self-return requires forgetting, which strengthens (does not collapse) the registral divergence from Hegelian recollection. A reader of the concept pages alone would see the Chouraqui/Heidegger dispute but not that both occupy the same (cosmological-evidential) side that Klossowski brackets as residue. The claim also unifies four Klossowski concept pages (agent, tonality, return, selective doctrine) under one thesis.
