Run framing

Trigger. User-invoked Phase 8 walk with explicit pre-authorization for promotions: "read @/Users/jeffreyvd/Documents/wikiwip/wiki/.audit/layer2-backfill-2026-05-09.md start the 13th phase 8 with pre-authorization for promotions". The Layer 2 backfill operation (between-run; commit 98e95fa 2026-05-09) appended formal Pass 3 Part D sections to 5 under-mined extraction notes, articulating 25 candidate slugs queued for the next Phase 8 walk. This 13th run is that walk.

Operational mode. Claude Code mode under user pre-authorization for promotions for the run. Per AUDIT_PLAN.md PF6 framing, the pre-authorization is run-scoped — promotions warranted by gates proceed without halt; the durable CLAUDE.md §Claim Status Gates rule continues to halt for human review on subsequent runs absent renewed authorization.

Independent harvest via scripts/harvest-claim-candidates.py was not run this iteration; the Layer 2 candidate inventory is the canonical seed list per the backfill report.

Step 8.2 — Walk artifacts

Walked the 5 extraction notes' Part D sections. No additional candidate harvest from other artifacts (extraction-note Diagnostics, source-page "What's Not Obvious", concept-page Connections, motifs.md, prior audit reports, user-memory) was performed in this run because the 25 Layer 2 candidates already approach the operational cap. Other Pass 3 candidates (e.g., from recent ingests after the 12th run closed) remain queued for future runs.

Step 8.3 — Triage + targeted raw-source checks

All 25 Layer 2 candidate slugs verified non-collisional with existing 119 claim slugs via grep -c "^## ${slug}$" wiki/claims.md per slug.

  3. MP 1959–60 lecture sequencing concurrence per Chouraqui 2016 §2 p. 60. Raws: raw/Husserl at the Limits of Phenomenology...md + raw/Merleau-Ponty_Séglard_2003_Nature_course_notes.md.

    • VERIFIED. The Nature course Translator's Introduction names both 1959–60 courses concurrently: "Merleau-Ponty returns to the question of Nature in 1959–60 with the third course, 'Nature and Logos: The Human Body.' That same year, his Monday reading course is 'Husserl at the Limits of Phenomenology.'" HuLP is timestamped within the same academic year (March 21, 1960 reference). Same-academic-year concurrence is established; week-level precision rests on de Saint Aubert's manuscript inventory and is recorded in Counterpressure.

    • NOT VERIFIABLE. Sense and Non-Sense is not currently in raw/. PoP raw was sampled and contains only an indirect Bergson-reference ("Coming back to the perceived world... we do not in any way sacrifice objectivity to the interior life, as Bergson has been accused of doing"), not the IDHEC lecture content.

D. Pre-existing parity bug fix

Mechanical fix (run hygiene): the Summary table rows for kaushik-stiftung-literary-frame and ineinander-universalizes-institution were live despite their entry bodies showing Status: supported from the morning δ-discharge (synthetic-layer-2026-05-09-deferred-supported-promotions.md, 2 promotions). Updated both Summary table rows to **supported** + Updated cell to 2026-05-09. This fix accounts for the supported count being 14 → 16 in the post-run table; the actual supported count was 16 throughout, only the table rows lagged.

Step 8.5 — Optional concept-page upgrades

No formal v0d optional-section additions performed in this run. The 13th-run scope (25-entry Layer 2 catch-up) consumed the run's operational budget. The live promotion count (19) exceeds the soft cap of 10–15. The cap-exceeded condition (per AUDIT_PLAN R8) authorizes deeper-run continuation when the user has pre-authorized; the user's pre-authorization for the run satisfies this. The over-cap promotion is a one-time consequence of the Layer 2 backfill catch-up: 5 sources' worth of Pass 3 Part D candidates landed at once because they had not been processed at their respective ingest times.
