Session Handoff — 2026-05-18 (Cluster 5 PR B + Revision 2026-05-18a)

Read this first if you are picking up a new wikiwip session and the most recent commit on master is in the 79e8eb4… neighborhood (or any descendant). Lives at wiki/.audit/ per the operational-files exemption; not a wiki page; not counted in totals.

Master state at handoff

  • Branch: master
  • HEAD: 79e8eb4 (Merge PR #33 — Claude's δ-artifact Revision)
  • Local checkout: clean except .claude/scheduled_tasks.lock + .claude/worktrees/ (both transient infra, not Git-tracked content)
  • Codex thread: "Review repo top issues" pinned in Codex Desktop wikiwip project; intact at session close; resume there for the next Codex collaboration

What landed this session (PRs #32 + #33)

  • PR #32 (Codex) — Cluster 5 PR B: rendered /paper-a/path/ reader UI + counterpressure gate. Merge commit 271fe89. 9 files, +468/-19. Implements:

    • Stage-1–6 reader-path template with semantic data hooks (data-counterpressure, data-anchor-status, data-anchor-kind)
    • Stage 5 contested-first "Contested background" group + "What survives" supported residue group
    • Stage 6 as <details open data-counterpressure="open-question">
    • PAPER_A_PATH_STAGE_TITLES override map (Stage 5 display title) and PAPER_A_PATH_COMPACT_LABELS map (5 load-bearing claims; slug-fallback for rest) in scripts/build_site.py
    • Markdown-rendered thesis between H1 (canonical label) and stage list; handle as crisp subhead between them; CSS classes renamed argument-caveat/argument-orphan-countpaper-a-path-handle/paper-a-path-thesis
    • /paper-a/ hub link to /paper-a/path/ for discoverability
    • scripts/check_public_site.py extended with rendered Paper A path gate (route exists, JSON parses, visible contested cite, contested badge on claim cite not stage container, Stage 6 open-question affordance present, hub link present); pinned to broken_hrefs=966, max_allowed=966
    • Jump nav at top, data-source-title per stage (source-title preserved alongside display title), mobile/topbar overflow fix
  • PR #33 (Claude) — δ-artifact Revision 2026-05-18a documenting Stage 5 display-title divergence. Merge commit 79e8eb4. 1 file, +40/-1 (wiki/.audit/paper-a-delta-path-2026-05-18.md). Decision: render Stage 5 title as "Historical background: the tested four-element synthesis"; §3 stored heading stays as "the H_synth four-element synthesis"; display-layer derivation, not in-place §3 edit; preserves the philological trail of the H_synth/δ adjudication.

Subagent results integrated this session

  • Row 33 (Latent-Adjacent generalizability probe — non-MP cross-tradition)structural-isomorphism-scanner Opus subagent ran on (dass-was-distinction, ereignis). Verdict: Partial. Generalizability limit NOT discharged. Artifact at wiki/.audit/weave-pass3-2026-05-18-followup/scan-E-dass-was-ereignis-non-mp.md. Methodological contribution to the v0d.9 retrospective (row 37): "Latent-Adjacent requires positive structural-form sharing at axis (ii), not merely shared negative property." Better non-MP candidates per the sharpened criterion: Nietzsche eternal-recurrence ↔ Hegel absolute spirit's return (requires Hegel Phenomenology of Spirit acquisition); Levinas il-y-a ↔ Heidegger Es-gibt (requires Levinas primary in raw/); Schelling 1800 identity-system ↔ Hegel Logic Doctrine of Essence (requires Hegel Science of Logic).

  • Rows 27 + 28 (Phase 6 corrective citation flags) — Opus general-purpose subagent ran in parallel. Result integrated in admin commit (see wiki/log.md 2026-05-18 entry for this session and the corresponding queue row updates).

Open queue items (post-session)

No HIGH-priority rows open. Cluster 5 PR B (row 35) closes this session.

MEDIUM (actionable now):

  • Row 33 — Latent-Adjacent generalizability probe. Pair 1 (dass-was-distinction ↔ ereignis) returned Partial. Row stays open; next probe pair selection should follow the sharpened criterion above. Hegel acquisition recommended (Pinkard 2018 Phenomenology of Spirit) but not blocking — Levinas or other pairs also viable.
  • Rows 27 + 28 — see admin commit for final status.
  • Row 16 — hauntology-in-MP / phantom register motifs.md candidate. Waiting on second-source attestation.
  • Row 17 — transtemporality single-source modal hinge. Waiting on second-source (Larison-independent anchor in MP I&P or V&I working notes).
  • Row 32 — Bridge Card 1 upgrade gate (Lawlor/Dastur/Madison). User-blocked on source acquisition.
  • Row 22 — saint-aubert-backlog Priority B (10 pages). User adjudication required.

LOW:

  • Rows 23, 25 — future ingest targets / hard raw/ absences.
  • Row 36 — bridge-card-signoff procedure retrospective review (window 2026-08-12 to 2026-11-12).
  • Row 37 — v0d.9 Latent-Adjacent verdict-class retrospective review (window 2026-08-17 to 2026-11-17). Scan E (this session) is the first data point feeding this review.
  • Row 38 — organic fourth Latent-Adjacent instance (emergent).

Fast-path for next session start

  1. Read this file first (~3 min). You'll know the state of play.
  2. Read wiki/.audit/next-actions.md if you need the queue (~5 min).
  3. Verify git status is clean and master is at or above 79e8eb4 before any work.
  4. If continuing with Codex: resume the "Review repo top issues" thread in Codex Desktop (do not open a new chat; context preservation matters per collaboration-codex-pattern).
  5. If row 33 is the priority and user has acquired Hegel material: ingest raw/<hegel-phenomenology-*>.pdf per .claude/skills/ingest/SKILL.md, then run a structural-isomorphism-scan on Nietzsche eternal-recurrence ↔ a created absolute-spirit-return (or similar) concept page.
  6. If pursuing a different MEDIUM row: see "Open queue items" above for the actionable subset; user-blocked items are flagged.

Key artifacts created or revised this session

  • wiki/.audit/paper-a-delta-path-2026-05-18.md (revised — added Revision 2026-05-18a section)
  • wiki/.audit/weave-pass3-2026-05-18-followup/scan-E-dass-was-ereignis-non-mp.md (new — Schelling-Heidegger non-MP Partial scan; v0d.9 sharpened-criterion contribution)
  • This handoff file

Coordination state

  • Codex Desktop thread: "Review repo top issues" — pinned, last activity was Codex's PR #32 landing message + Claude's Steer ack of the Revision-PR cross-reference + the merge-pair sealing.
  • Claude memory updates this session: feedback_codex_steer_workflow.md (Steer feature for non-blocking mid-stream updates); project_worktree_isolation_single_writer.md (worktree isolation as single-writer enforcer; today's discovery from finding Claude's edit on Codex's branch).
  • Schema state: no changes. CLAUDE.md still at v0d.9. Schema-changelog last entry 2026-05-17.

Calibration notes

  • Today's session shipped 2 PRs cleanly (#32 Codex + #33 Claude) in less than 1 hour from go-signal to both-merged. The collaboration pattern (.audit/ artifact seam + single-writer discipline + worktree isolation + Steer for non-blocking heads-up) is durable.
  • The claims.md register is at 159 entries; lint baseline confirmed twice this session at 485 pages / 159 claims.
  • 0 mutual hallucinations; 0 merge conflicts; 0 schema changes; 0 claim-status changes.
  • The δ-architecture is now expressed at three layers: (1) claims.md (the two supported claims it runs through); (2) wiki/.audit/paper-a-delta-path-2026-05-18.md (the canonical philo authority for the reader path); (3) /paper-a/path/ rendered route (the public reader surface). All three are mutually consistent at session close.
