Indirect-Ontology Convergence Adjudication — 2026-06-08

Question (user, [indirect-ontology]): Do Chouraqui's structural, Saint Aubert's philological-carnal, and MP's own scattered readings of indirect ontology converge on a thesis none states alone, or are they irreducibly distinct?

Method: custom multi-agent workflow indirect-ontology-convergence (run wf_16a7f80f-636, 10 agents, 5 phases), designed to test rather than inherit the concept page's standing "coordinate complements" gloss:

Reconstruct — 4 isolated agents re-derived each reading from its own sources only (the synthesized indirect-ontology.md was withheld from reconstructors; given only to the adjudicator). Readings: C (Chouraqui structural-figural), S (Saint Aubert philological-carnal — both the 2006 and 2021 extraction notes), M (MP's own scattered self-namings), L (control: Lawlor + Madison).
Align — rejection / substitute-form / grounding triple test across the four reconstructions; six seams + a pre-defense verdict-weight vector.
Fork — two isolated agents steelmanned CONVERGENCE and DISTINCTNESS/TENSION.
Defend — each rebutted and defended (KILL/WOUND/PASS).
Adjudicate — fresh context, now reading the held-back page + the three supported claims, picked one verdict.

Verdict: CONVERGENT (confidence: medium) — at the level of form, not content

The thesis none states alone: the obliqueness of indirect ontology's self-naming is entailed by Being's less-than-determinacy. Because Being is less-than-determinate (reachable only through the beings, never as a separable term behind them), any direct statement of the method overdetermines the indeterminate and so falsifies it — so the method can only be figured (Chouraqui's circulus/membrure), scattered / scare-quoted / undefined (MP's own), or carnally approached se faisant (Saint Aubert's binocular-Blondelian route). The sameness of this single constraint across three mutually non-citing grounding registers (cross-corpus figural geometry / MP's own typography / BNF archival provenance) is itself the evidence that the constraint is structural to the ontology, not an artifact of any one reading's method.

Why CONVERGENT over COORDINATE-COMPLEMENT (the honest seam): the pre-defense matrix actually tilted coordinate-complement — {convergent 0.62, coordinate_complement 0.78, latent_adjacent 0.34, distinct 0.70, tension 0.50}. The verdict flipped to CONVERGENT only because the form-thesis (conjunct A) survived both defense rounds at supported-grade, yielding a statable, contestable, jointly-entailed-but-individually-unstated thesis — the CONVERGENT signature. This is a medium-confidence adjudication, not a slam dunk.

Why not TENSION-RIVAL (no escalation forced): the distinctness side's boldest framing — "mutually exclusive figural keystones" → two supported claims in conflict — was self-conceded-wounded in its own defense and narrowed to "non-identical figural determinations of a shared structural feature (self-inclusion)." Its STEP 5 (Lawlor: circulus-presence flips the success-verdict) was defeated by a raw check: Lawlor's failure verdict rests on the chiasm-as-sign-of-the-cross / Einfühlung / praying-hands argument (VI 308/254, VI 192/146), flagged in .extraction-lawlor-2003 l.709 / l.1108 as "the weakest single argument in the book — Lawlor's gloss, not MP's text," standing without BGE §56. So presence/absence of the circulus is not verdict-determining. Supported-claim compatibility holds: the thesis contradicts none of the three; the only thing the distinctness case defeats is the page's non-supported, explicitly-provisional "coordinate complements" gloss (the distinctness agent conceded this verbatim).

What got wounded and was NOT promoted (conjunct B): the bolder "performative corollary" — that the three readers' own citational conduct on V&I 179/231 (foreground / erase / bracket the circulus) enacts the obliqueness — was wounded by a genetic-fallacy / scope deflation (Saint Aubert's non-citation is over-determined by his 2006 book being the "Heidegger scenario"; Nietzsche off-topic, .extraction-saintaubert-2006 l.6). The convergence side accepted the wound. Conjunct B stays candidate-grade-at-most and is routed as a false-friend caution, not folded into the claim.

Relation to the page gloss: SHARPENS

Upgrades indirect-ontology.md l.74 / l.240 from a defensive "coordinate complements, not rivals" to a positive convergence that explains why they are complements (the shared less-than-determinacy constraint); the "irreducibly distinct" disjunct at l.240 is closed. The surviving figural-genealogical divergence (Nietzschean circulus vs Blondelian circularité vraie) is the coordinate axis the gloss already named.

The six seams on V&I 179/231 (the empirical fulcrum)

Note status — canonical self-formulation (M) / formal keystone lifted from context (C) / chronologically re-dated provenance-marker (S). None reads it as the unfinished working memorandum it textually is.

Disposition applied (full, all within gates — no `supported`, no motif upgrade, so no HALT)
